Review of Couponchief.com

Recently I was contacted by couponchief.com and asked to write a review of their site. I was a little taken back as I have never been asked to do anything like this and I had no idea what this site was.

After reviewing the site and playing around with it I decided to accept the offer and share this wonderful site with all my readers.

If you are not familiar with this site, they offer online coupons and promo codes. If you are like me, you have searched endlessly for codes to use during checkout to help save you some money only to be overwhelmed with the results returned. Well....look no further! This site offers an easy to navigate search feature where you can put in the store or item you are looking for.

A big plus for some will be the fact that you don't need an account or sign in to use the coupons. However, it is recommended if you want full access to the other assets of this site.

What sets this site apart from all the other sites that offer the same things? They offer a pays2share program, where you sign up for an account, upload coupons, and if someone uses your coupon, you get 2% of the sales!  It is not a quick get rich scheme but just another way to help you earn some pocket change without a lot of work on your part.

Why not hop on over to couponchief.com today and check it out for yourself!

Disclosure: I have been compensated for the time I spent reviewing this website.  However, all opinions are my own and have not been influenced by the compensation received.

Today's deal at Giant

Giant had Renuzit air fresheners for $.89 and there was a coupon in Sunday's Paper for buy 2 get 1 free.  I purchased 9 for the lady I clean for as she uses these in one of her rooms. When I checked out I received double credit for the coupon and a $.05 credit for using my own bag. My total costs $2.22 for 9! It was like buying 1 and getting 2 free!

Coupon help

You can get coupons from the newspaper and on line as printables or by purchasing some paper ones. I am lucky as I get my coupons free from the lady I work for but if I didn't I would probably purchase a Sunday paper in addition to printing them off line.

I have a few sites that I would like to share that help me in my preparation of grocery shopping.  The first one CouponMom has just about everything you need for free to get started in saving with coupons. She lists the store, the prices, the coupons and where to find them etc... When I first started using coupons I used her site faithfully to help me save. However, now I pretty much do it on my own. Give it a shot! Sign up and take a chance...What do you have to lose? NOTHING because it's all free!

The second site that I use is this coupon database which is also free. I love being able to type in a product I am looking for and it tells me what paper, website or magazine I can find it in. If it is a printable coupon there is a link you can click that will take you right to it. Just make sure the store you are shopping at accepts printed coupons before wasting your time, paper and ink. This site is awesome especially for beginner couponers.

You could also host a coupon swap or start a coupon train to keep the costs of the coupons down. I have even looked on freecycle for coupons. Ask family members and friends to share what they don't use. It sure beats them going in the trash or the recycle bin.

Saving Star

There is a new way to save at the store……It’s called Saving Star and it’s all digital and requires very little work.

So, how does it work you ask? You create an account and then you register all your store loyalty cards that participate in the program. After you register your cards, you’re able to load coupons from the Saving Star website to your account. When you go to the store and scan your card, if you buy the items that are saved on your card, the coupon amount goes into your Saving Star account. Nothing changes with your total at the store as the amount will be credited online in your Saving Star account. When you reach at least $5 in your Saving Star account, you are able to request a gift card or have it deposited into your checking account. My favorite is the $5 Amazon gift card.

Also, you can use a paper coupon right along with the Saving Star coupon since it doesn't come off the total due.

IMPORTANT: If you see a coupon you like, add it! Waiting too long might result in a “Sold Out” status.

1.      Log in and Register For Free Here
2.      Do a search by Zip Code to find the local stores near you.
3.      Enter the card number for each store loyalty card and Submit.
4.      Next, select the eCoupons you like on the stores website or mobile app, and they are automatically linked to your store card.
5.       Use your card when you checkout and the money is added to your SavingStar account. You won’t notice the savings take place at the register.  Instead, they get deposited into your account within 7-30 days depending on which store you shop.
6.      Once your Saving Star account reaches $5 in savings, you can pick how you want to get paid:  from a bank account deposit, a PayPal account deposit, an Amazon gift card, or a donation to charity.
