What is Self Care?

Self care has always been a very important part of life that you should practice daily. However, given what is going on right now it is even more important.  Do you know what self care is? Do you practice it?  What are some of the things you do to promote self care in your life?

What is self-care?
Self-care is any activity that we do deliberately in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. Although it’s a simple concept in theory, it’s something we very often overlook. Good self-care is key to improved mood and reduced anxiety. It’s also key to a good relationship with oneself and others.


Set up a daily routine that consist of at least 15 minutes of self care. Something you deliberately do for yourself. See some of the examples below.

Take a nice relaxing bath with bath salts (add some candlelight)

     Calming Bath Salts
    1/2 cup sea salt
    1/2 cup Epsom Salts
    10 drops lavender essential oil
    contents of 1 green tea bag
  Mix together and store in a jar or container
