It's Easier Than You Think Lasagna

It's Easier Than You Think Lasagna

1 lb lean ground beef
4 cups pasta sauce
6 uncooked lasagna noodles
15oz Ricotta Cheese
2 1/2 cups (10oz) shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 egg (optional)
Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup hot water

Cook beef in large skillet over med heat, stirring until it crumbles and is no longer pink, drain. Stir in pasta sauce.
In separate bowl mix ricotta cheese, 2 cups mozzarella cheese and egg if using.
Spread 1/3 meat sauce in a lightly greased 11x7x2 baking dish, layer with 3 noodles and half of the cheese mixture. Repeat process. Top last layer with remaining mozzarella cheese and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
Slowly pour 1/4 cup hot water around inside edge of dish. Tightly cover baking dish with aluminum foil.
Bake on 375 for 45 minutes, uncover and bake 10 more minutes. Let stand 10 mins before serving.

Makes 6-8 servings (very generous servings)

*Notes: Double the meat and sauce and freeze to use for another dinner.
Use extra lean ground beef, whole wheat noodles and light or fat free cheese to make healthier.
Prefer not to use meat...just add your favorite vegetables
